Newcastle United target Hugo Ekitike is prepared to cut his holiday short in order to secure his move to St James' Park. Talks between the Reims youngster's representative Karl Mwalako Buchmann and Newcastle supremo Dan Ashworth have been ongoing in the last few days.
But not everything has been agreed on the package with agent fees still not settled. A medical has been set up by United in the event the initial £26.5million deal gets the green light and the club's famous black people carrier vehicle is on standby at the training ground.
As reported by Chronicle Live last week, Ekitike wanted assurances on game-time at Newcastle after breaking into the first-team in Ligue 1 at Reims, and United are keen to ensure he knows that he will be a big part of things, both now and in the future.

United chiefs are just eager to get him to Newcastle so that face to face talks can commence. There is no panic in the fanbase despite just one signing through the door and supporters know that the bulk of the recruitment will be done in July.
In fact, the only other hot topic for Geordie fans at the moment is how they will be able to get their hands on season tickets. Fans are waiting patiently for news to drop on when a batch of season tickets will be released.
United have not had season tickets on general sale since last summer and supporters who were fed up of Mike Ashley but then returned have been getting seats on a game to game basis.
Whatever way Newcastle fans find their way into St James' Park there is genuine excitement in the air on Tyneside in one of the most eagerly anticipated campaigns since the Sir Bobby Robson era.
