Hugh Jackman has reignited his “rivalry” with Ryan Reynolds after “winning” their well-publicised comedic feud.
The Wolverine and Deadpool actors have been embroiled in a witty war of words for years now, and the former is the latest to take a swipe after being declared the victor in a new poll.
They were battling it out to win a promotional campaign held by American retailer Sam’s Club, whose shoppers have been voting for their favourite actor and their charities, Laughing Man Foundation and Sick Kids Foundation, respectively.
After Jackman, 52, was named the winner by CEO Kath McLay, the Australian actor asked if he could relay the news to Reynolds himself.
“You lost the Sam's Club thing,” he said, greeting him as “Bryan”.
Jackman continued: “I won. Everyone hates you. Bye.”
Reynolds then shared the video on Twitter, writing: “Quite literally, I have a legal obligation to post this.”
He added underneath: “Thank you, @SamsClub CEO Kath McLay. The REAL winner of the feud is @sickkids Foundation and @laughingmanco Foundation.”
Sam’s Club said it would donate equal amounts to each charity regardless of who won the poll.
