Hugh Jackman drops in on waffle house for family meal and surprises staff

Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman shocked staff when he got his claws into a couple of waffles when he dropped by their restaurant. The Hollywood superstar, 54, visited the Waffle House in Norwich, Norfolk, on Sunday and posed for selfies with employees.

He wolfed down a massive order of Bolognese waffle, a banoffee waffle and a rhubarb and custard milkshake. The Australian actor popped into the eatery with his family members, including his mum, who is believed to live nearby and be a regular at the waffle house.

Hugh, reputedly a Norwich City FC fan, also posted a picture of his two-course meal on Twitter, joking it was his "cheat meal" that he "did not share" with his family. He posed for a selfie with staff, including manager Emily Blakemore, 39, who said the Australian actor was "really down to earth".

Emily said: "He was just a really lovely and really down to earth guy. In all honestly, it just felt like it was a normal customer.

"We was just trying to make it as normal for him as possible and he was just trying to enjoy his meal and didn't want to make a big deal out of things. We were just trying to control ourselves, keep cool and make sure he had a really nice experience."
