Hugh Jackman causes fan concern following ‘sad’ and ‘grumpy’ social media post

Hugh Jackman has caused concern among fans following a “sad” social media upload amid his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness.

The actor, 55, and his wife of nearly three decades, 67, announced their shock split earlier this year.

At the time, a statement from the couple read: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”

And on Friday, the Australian actor sparked concern among fans with a moody selfie posted on Instagram.

Under the close-up picture of his face, taken while he was walking around New York City, Jackman wrote: “Entirely too close.” He completed the post with the hashtag “moods”.

“Looking a little serious there, Hugh,” one said.

“Your sunglasses are making you look a bit grumpy,” another wrote.

Another asked: “Hi, how have you been?” and another: “Not a good day?”

Meanwhile one wrote: “You look sad…” and another: “Sending love, dear Hugh.”

However, there were plenty of fans who paid compliments to the star, with one writing: “Always perfect.”

Earlier this year, a source close to the couple said they reportedly felt it was “time to divorce” after 27 years together.

According to ET, the couple were on “different pages” when they made the difficult decision to separate. The outlet reported there was “no animosity” following the move.

A source is reported to have said: “Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives.

“They felt like it was time to divorce, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship.”

“At the end of the day, it was their collective agreement to go their separate ways and do the healthiest thing for everyone involved.”

Jackman is set to release a tell-all book about his life and relationship.

Reports suggest The Greatest Showman actor is in the early stages of writing the memoir, which will feature details of his life and “bombshell” revelations.
