Hugh Jackman has cancelled his BST Hyde Park date due to what he called "an unforeseen conflict in my schedule".
The Wolverine actor, 56, was due to perform on July 6 at the London park.
BST Hyde Park shared a statement from Jackman saying: "Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6th.
"This was a stage I truly was looking forward to being on. No less in a city that I love so much.
"Thank you to all people who've purchased tickets. For ticket refunds, please go to the link in my bio for more information.
"London, I will see you soon! Hugh Jackman."
The news is sure to come as a disappointment to fans who were looking forward to seeing the Australian star take to the Great Oak Stage with a live orchestra to perform songs from musicals including The Boy From Oz, Les Miserables, The Music Man and The Greatest Showman.
In addition to being a big box office draw, Jackman has carved out a successful career for himself on the stage, appearing both in the West End and on Broadway and in his native Oz.
After making his musical theatre debut as Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Australia, Jackman’s theatre résumé also includes an Olivier-nominated performance in the West End’s Oklahoma! and a Tony Award-winning role in Broadway’s The Boy from Oz.
He won plaudits when he brought his singing skills to the 2012 film Les Misérables and 2017’s The Greatest Showman.
Jackman returned to Broadway in a revival of The Music Man in 2022 and 2023, opposite actress Sutton Foster, whom it was recently revealed he is in a relationship with following his divorce form Deborra-Lee Furness, whom he was married to for almost three decades.
He was previously nominated for an Olivier award in 1999 for his West End performance in Oklahoma! at the National Theatre and the Lyceum Theatre.
Playing London’s Hyde Park would have marked his biggest UK audience to-date, having previously sold out dates at the London O2 Arena in 2019.
