Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness felt time was 'right' to split

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness reportedly felt it was “time to divorce” after 27 years together.

According to ET, the Wolverine star, 55, and the actress, 67, were on “different pages” when they made the difficult decision to separate. The outlet is reporting there is “no animosity” following the move.

A source is reported to have said: “Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and in separate chapters of their lives.

“They felt like it was time to divorce, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship.”

“At the end of the day, it was their collective agreement to go their separate ways and do the healthiest thing for everyone involved.”

The couple shocked fans when they announced they were divorcing last month.

A statement from the couple read: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”

Meanwhile, Jackman is set to release a tell-all book about his life and relationship.

Reports suggest The Greatest Showman actor is in the early stages of writing the memoir, which will feature details of his life and “bombshell” revelations.

“Hugh is choosing to [write this book] now because he’s finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce,” an insider said.

“The content will be Hugh speaking about his life. He’ll be opening up about his life like never before.”

Jackman and Furness share two adopted children together, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

They have been married since 1996.

Jackman has been spotted out and about on various occasions since the shock revelation.

He joined Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, 46, his wife Blake Lively, 36, and Sophie Turner, 27, as celebrity guests of Taylor Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Jets at the MetLife Stadium on October 1.

Swift is dating NFL star Travis Kelce.
