Hugh Grant compares himself to genitals as he presents Oscar

Actor Hugh Grant compared himself to genitals as he reunited with Four Weddings and a Funeral co-star Andie MacDowell on stage at the Oscars. The pair were presenting the award for best production design at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, three decades after starring in the 1994 romantic comedy that depicted Grant’s bumbling character Charles vying for the attention of Carrie, played by MacDowell, 64.

The Notting Hill actor, 62, used the opportunity on stage to urge others to find 'a good moisturiser' as he joked about his appearance, reports The Mirror.

“We’re actually here to do two things,” Grant said. “First is to raise awareness about the vital importance of using a good moisturiser. Andie’s been wearing one every day for the last 29 years, I’ve never used one in my life.

“Still stunning,” he said, gesturing to MacDowell.

“Basically a scrotum,” he said of himself, which was met by laughs across the theatre.

“What are you doing?” his co-star retorted.

Oscars viewers took to Twitter to react. "Errr it's not really the time or place for jokes like that, Hugh Grant," one complained.

"OMG did Hugh Grant really just say he looked like a scrotum at the Oscars? Don't know whether to laugh or cry," another said.

A third joked: "Hugh Grant bringing the English humour to the Oscars, and it didn't go down well with the yanks loool."
