An enormous great white shark was found dead on a beach after washing ashore earlier this week.
The scary sea creature was spotted in Hatteras, North Carolina.
Photographs show the predator lying lifeless in the sand, with a full set of razor-sharp teeth on show, the Daily Caller reports.
Dana Rose was collecting shells on the beach when she came across the shark and decided to share a photograph of the shocking discovery on social media.
She wrote: “Shelling right now and rolled up on this big boy! Rip Mr shark! But just think this is what swims with us!
“It’s their ocean we are the visitors! Was cool to see!”
Her post sparked speculation online about how the fearsome fish ended up on dry land.

One commenter said it may have got caught in a gill net, which are set up near the coast to catch fish coming in to feed on a rising tide.
It comes after a shark expert claimed that a great white was spotted off the coast of a popular tourist beach in the UK earlier this week.

A photograph, taken by James Venn, shows a distinctive fin in the water by Goring-by-Sea, near Worthing, West Sussex.
He sent the image to experienced shark fisherman Graeme Pullen, who said it is “an undisputed shark”.
Experts say more great whites may soon head to UK shores, as the water temperatures are rising due to climate chage, and last year there were at least 10 credible sightings around the country.
Speaking last year, Dr Ken Collins, from the National Oceanography Centre, said: "It's likely we will be seeing more sharks spread from warmer regions such as the Mediterranean Sea towards our waters in the UK over the next 30 years.
"You get great whites off the coast of South Africa where the water is colder than here and I see no reason why we should not have them in our waters.
''I see no reason why they shouldn't be spotted here, particularly off the coast of Cornwall where there is an abundant supply of seals, their favourite food."
In 2021 there were 44 shark attacks around the globe and five proved fatal.
