Huge queues were spotted on a major road in South Liverpool after petrol prices were slashed to the lowest price in months.
The UK has been hit with a cost-of-living crisis as the price of petrol soared in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Go garages has announced a special deal in celebration of Thanksgiving as it reduced the cost of petrol for 12 hours at certain sites across the UK.
The deal is available at the fuel company's recently-opened 24 Express petrol station on St Mary's Road. Motorists filling up at the station will be charged 131.9p per litre of petrol and 155.9p per litre of diesel.

A post announcing the offer on Facebook confirmed: "One transaction per customer. Must be into vehicle tanks ONLY
"No container/ storage tank fills allowed." According to PetrolPrices.com, this is 16.8p less expensive than the next cheapest price at Costco Liverpool, which is priced at 147.9p for members.
