Huge police presence on Scots street as 'vulnerable' schoolboy reported missing

Police have launched a search for a "highly vulnerable" 13-year-old boy who disappeared at lunchtime as he rode a micro-scooter.

Kai Robertson was last seen in the area of Parkgrove Crescent in the Clermiston neighbourhood of Edinburgh at around 1.35pm on Monday May 22. The youngster is described as being 5ft 4ins tall with short brown hair.

Officers say he was last seen riding a white micro-scooter. At the time, he was wearing a pair of shorts, white socks and black school shoes.

Images from Parkgrove Crescent show at least four marked police cars and vans in the street as uniformed officers carry out enquiries. Police have also issued an image of Kai as part of their appeal.

No other information has been released in relation to the boy's disappearance. However, officers say there are concerns for his welfare.
