A major police presence was reported in an East Midlands town after reports of a potential dog attack. One resident said the incident in Ilkeston 'looked serious' and that there had been reports of a dog attack on Friday, August 12.
Derbyshire Live reports a child may have been injured in the incident near Nottingham Road, but this could not be confirmed by Derbyshire Police.
One Nottingham Road resident said: "There were quite a lot of police cars and it looked really serious. I think they had someone in the back of a police van but I couldn't see much."

Another added: "The police were next to the roundabout and they were there for quite a while. I can't imagine how the people involved must have felt."
