A huge meteor has wowed onlookers in the UK as its fireball streaked across the skies this weekend.
The rock blazed a green and blue trail as it entered the Earth's atmosphere - impressing people across the country from Scotland to North Wales.
This comes as a 10-year-old boy was stunned when he managed to film a flaming meteor as it soared over his house in Manchester earlier last week.
There were over 100 reports of sightings of the meteor on Saturday evening around 7pm.
The UK Meteor Network confirmed the reports and posted pictures of the object on Twitter.
It was spotted not just across UK, but also on mainland Europe.
It was a big talking point on the Buckley Residents Facebook page after it was seen in North Wales, Daily Post reports.
One resident said: "I saw it! Looked almost a green colour as is went past!"
Another, tagging a friend, replied: "Awesome. It must have been massive!"
A third added: "It was going so fast we questioned ourselves. I’m so glad you posted this. I no longer feel like I was seeing things!"
The spectacle was also spotted in Wakefield, Yorkshire, where the object appeared in the distance and shot across the picture, Yorkshire Live reports.
It followed similar videos being posted of the fireball in Kent by Kent & Home Counties weather on Facebook.
The Kent video was taken at the same time: 6.48pm, and also is visible for around six seconds.
And it was also seen clearly across Scotland, Daily Record reports.
One onlooker said: "It appeared from nowhere and travelled at speed, losing altitude as it passed."
While another said: "Saw this blue tailed fireball on our way from Glasgow to Edinburgh this evening... Looked like it was right in front of us! Spectacular!"
The UK Meteor Network tweeted: "Large #fireball meteor spotted tonight 29 Jan 2022 at 18:48:26 UT from several UKMON cameras."
Sharing a host of photos taken from across the skies, they added a post that over 100 reports came in at about 7pm.
