Huge Love Island dumping twist sees islanders 'in tears' as show favourites axed

Love Island has reportedly been thrown into chaos as two islanders have been booted from the villa just days before the final in an emotional dumping.

It has been reported that there were tears in the villa after two popular cast members were sent home in a surprise twist.

At the end of the last instalment of the show, viewers were given just 15 minutes to vote to save their favourite couple, hinting that not everyone is safe from being dumped.

The shock twist will come just days after the dramatic scenes at the beach club where two couples said goodbye to their co-stars. The final dumping is said to have left islanders 'heartbroken' with many crying over the situation.

A source told The Sun: “It’s an unmissable episode as it was so emotional - when they’re this close to the final, it’s hard for islanders to go home.

“The two people who have been axed will be missed in the villa, a lot. It’s heart-wrenching for them to miss out on the final week like this but someone has to go home. Viewers have voted and the islanders were left to pack their bags and exit the villa.”

On Tuesday night, Olivia and Maxwell were told that they would be heading home to the UK but in a never before seen plot twist, the couple then had to pick another two people to leave the South African villa with them.

The duo had to choose between the couples who had the fewest public votes, and chose from Claudia and Keanan, Rosie and Casey and Tanya and Shaq.

They opted to send home Claudia and Keanan. The final of the show will air on Monday, March 13.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
