This month people can enjoy a meal in Liverpool for less with the launch of the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
The initiative means those eating out on certain days can get 50% discount off, up to £10 per head, at participating restaurants, pubs and cafes.
You don’t need to download, or print off vouchers, the deduction will automatically be made to your bill, during your visit.
The discount will be applied to food and drink, but not alcohol, and diners can claim as many times as they like during August, at participating venues across the UK.

Venues will then be fully reimbursed for any discounts claimed, via an online portal.
The scheme is being launched to help pump money back into the food and drink industry, which has struggled during the coronavirus lockdown, with many places forced to close completely for several months.
As a result, the discount can be used by people enjoying eat-in meals, and won’t be available for takeaways.
Last month, the ECHO joined forces with Marketing Liverpool to launch the Love Your Liverpool campaign, which encourages people to get out and support local businesses who have struggled this year. The Eat Out To Help Out scheme is a great way to do just that, and help give our vibrant hospitality industry a much needed boost this summer. Which days will the Eat Out To Help Out discount be available?
Diners can enjoy 50% off food and drink, excluding alcohol, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August. Some venues may have their own restrictions. It's also worth checking the government list for the very latest list, which is being updated as more restaurants join the scheme.
