A huge Bavarian-themed marquee is opening, complete with an ice skating rink, German food and beer, singers and more.
It'll be less than an hour's drive away from Liverpool city centre, based at Victoria Park in Southport, and aims to be a welcoming setting for all ages. It's the brainchild of North West Marquee Hire and Southport TV, the team responsible for the phenomenally popular Oktoberfest, also held at Victoria Park.
They're keen to continue offering German-themed experiences, with the festive season providing an ideal opportunity. Ice Skating Southport aims to be a hotbed of activity this Christmas, with skating for those aged four and up, alongside an array of entertainment for the whole family.

Held inside a heated Bavarian-themed marquee, guests can expect German food and beer, as well as themed party nights kicking off at the weekends, complete with entertainers, DJs and singers. Those who are more Bambi on ice than Torvill and Dean needn't fear, as there'll be plenty to see and do off the ice, too.
Ice Skating starts at £9 for under 12s, £12.50 for everyone over 12, and a family of four ticket costs £38, plus a Skiddle booking fee. You can book tickets here.
Sessions are for 45 minutes on the ice and 15 minutes to lace up, every hour on the hour. Keen skaters can take to the ice from 5pm until 10pm on weekdays, and from 11am until 11pm on weekends. Children's helmets are offered at no charge, and there are penguin skating aids available to hire at £4 each.
An Ice Skating Southport spokesperson said: "We have some amazing German food available from one of Southport's best chefs. Expect Bratwursts and large pretzels as well as some traditional food as well. We are serving a selection of German beers in two pint steins, as well as all your usual favourites, plus seasonal beverages like mulled wine, gingerbread hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee, and much, much more.
"Every Friday and Saturday evening, from 6pm until 11pm, the marquee comes alive and turns into a full-on party vibe - and the best bit is, it's completely free entry. Entertainment wise, we have - on rotation - 'Disco On Ice', 'The Bavarian Stompers Duo' [and] 'Lionel The Vinyl' playing all your [favourite] 80s hits. There will also be a Kingsway & Manhattans 90s dance night with Mark Pickup.
"All are free entry and if there's a few of you coming down, don't worry [as] we have seating for several hundred. The venue is the perfect place for you to start your Christmas night out or if you want to spend the evening with us, so get dropped off at the Pleasureland roundabout and walk into our marquee."
Festivities will kick off on December 1 and there'll be an "opening party" on Friday, December 2, with The Bavarian Stompers Duo performing. To book tickets for Bavarian Christmas Ice Skating Village, click here.
