A car has smashed through the fron of a childcare centre with four people and an infant been taken to hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the crash which happened just before 9am just as families were arriving to drop their kids off.
Four people were taken to hospital, including three adults and an 11-month-old baby, but thankfully all are in stable condition.
Police said the child was “lucky to escape serious injury”.
The car crashed into Bright Beginnings Family Day Care Centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne, Australia.
A staff member at the childcare centre described to the Today show the moments of the crash.
She said: “I heard a loud bang.
“I thought it was an earthquake or a shooting or something.
“I looked outside and all I could see was glass everywhere and the car was inside the office.”
The vehicle had to be removed from the rubble of the damaged building.
Police have said they think the female driver was trying to park their car at the time but ended up crashing into the centre.
Pictures show a huge hole in the front of the building.
Zainab Shallal, a worker at a nearby business, pulled a woman and her young granddaughter from the wreckage.
She told the Herald Sun : “[She] had blood all over her face… there was debris and glass all on top of her.”
