Leeds residents said they were left terrified after being woken in the middle of the night by a mystery loud bang.
Tia Spencer posted on Facebook group leedsplace around 2am to say her and her partner 'woke up in fear' at their home in Belle Isle when they heard the bang.
Dozens of people jumped on to comment on her post - either to reassure her or say they'd also heard the bang from other parts of Leeds.

Tia wrote: "A very loud bang in Belle Isle. Woke me and my partner up. We are very scared we woke up in fear. Not a very nice thing, particularly as my partner is partly deaf and still heard it. The windows were all shut."
Several Leeds residents then also chimed in to say they had heard the bang in other parts of the city. Yasmeen Akhtar wrote: "I heard it in Beeston and wondered what it was."
Kat Hicky also said she heard the bang in Hunslet. Tidgey Mac attempted to reassure Tia, saying: "Might be an army plane breaking the sound barrier as it flies over. Not 100% sure but that has happened a few times over the years."
Similarly, Al Smith also attempted to put Tia's mind at ease. He wrote: "Don't worry Tia there's building works all over there now. I hear bangs at night where I live. It's a 99% chance it's not a threat to you, so turn over and go back to sleep, you'll be fine."
Others joked about what the bang might have been.
