THOUSANDS of people sang an X-rated chant against the UK Government at London’s 02 arena after Scouse UFC star Molly McCann asked them all to join in.
The 32-year-old had just knocked out American competitor Hannah Goldy in the first round when she was taken aside for an interview with Michael Bisping.
McCann triumphed by technical knockout when the referee stepped in after a quick right hand and spinning elbow combination downed her opponent by the fence.
The euphoric fighter spoke of how she appreciated the crowd backing her, saying she didn’t think she’d ever seen people get behind a female athlete in combat sports in the UK as her supported had done for her.
As a raucous crowd roared their approval, Everton fan McCann took the opportunity to voice her frustration at her football club’s recent struggles.
“I will not let you down,” she said in the post-fight interview. “I am not Everton Football Club!”

McCann then took the microphone from Bisping before telling the huge crowd: “I’m out, but can I just get you to sing one thing?”
She began singing the first few bars of the tune with his become synonymous with crowds chanting “f*** the Tories” in recent months.
Thousands quickly joined in as McCann danced along excitedly from the ring.
Also at the 02 on Saturday, English heavyweight Tom Aspinall was forced to quit after just 15 seconds of his top-of-the bill UFC bout with American Curtis Blaydes.
The 29-year-old from Atherton in Greater Manchester, ranked sixth in the division, fell to the mat in pain after his knee gave way during the opening exchanges of the fight at London’s O2 Arena.
In the opening fight on the main card, Scotland’s Paul Craig lost a unanimous points verdict after a tight light heavyweight bout with Switzerland’s Volkan Oezdemir.
Ukraine’s Nikita Krylov claimed a quick first-round victory over Swede Alexander Gustafsson.
