What's the latest team news?
Steve Cooper's starting XI almost picks itself but he has one dilemma up front - whether to stick with former Swansea loan man Sam Surridge or bring back striker Kienan Davis, who has recovered from injury.
Max Lowe is still sidelined so Jack Colback is in line to continue at left wing-back. Wales star Brennan Johnson is expected to be the team's livewire once again.
As for the Terriers, boss Carlos Corberan has virtually a fully-fit squad. Matty Pearson, who hasn't played since March due to a knee injury, is back in consideration. Danny Ward has shaken off a knock he took in the play-off semi-final against Luton, as has Ollie Turton.
Ryan Schofield and Alex Vallejo are the only long-term absentees in the Town squad.
What have the managers said?
Huddersfield Town head coach Carlos Corberan commented: “Everyone has been working hard and all we want is what’s best for the team, this team will always try from the first minute until the end.
“We’ve had a lot of time to prepare for this game and have been working with the players to create the right habits. It’s a group where the team is the most important thing.
“These types of games have two parts, the special part of the game and the game part. I’ve been so focused on the game part.”
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper said: "It's been a very positive week of training. It's quite a long wait between the conclusion of the semi-final and the final, but it's something you plan for and we've stuck to our plan.
"The club hasn't been to the new Wembley and it's been a while since the last visit to the old Wembley, so we know how important it is for everyone. I've said on numerous occasions that one of the best things about the Championship is that there is a league above it that we're all trying to get to. That's always the motivation.
"We knew before the semi-finals that it would be a chance to get Nottingham Forest to Wembley and how important that would be. We go there with a mindset to win another game, there's no doubt about that."

Match facts
- This will be the fourth meeting between Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest in all competitions this season, with the Terriers winning once and Forest winning twice (one in the league and one in the FA Cup) – this will be the second season in which the sides have faced each other four times after 1970-71.
- This will be the 10th second-tier play-off final to see the third and fourth-placed sides meet; the most common combination of league positions for teams to reach the final. Indeed, the third-placed side has won promotion in six of the previous nine such finals.
- Three of Huddersfield’s last four neutral appearances at Wembley Stadium have seen the match go to penalties, with the Terriers winning on penalties in the Championship play-off final in 2016-17 and the League One play-off final in 2011-12, but losing the EFL trophy final shootout in 1993-94. The other game in this run saw them defeat Bristol Rovers 2-1 in the third-tier play-off final in 1994-95.
- Huddersfield Town have reached their sixth EFL play-off final, winning promotion in four of their five previous finals. Indeed, only Blackpool (6) have won promotion more times via the EFL play-offs than the Terriers (4).
- Nottingham Forest have reached an EFL play-off final for very first time in their history – with the Tricky Trees previously getting eliminated in each of their previous four semi-final ties (2002-03, 2006-07, 2009-10 and 2010-11). In fact, Forest are appearing at Wembley Stadium for the first time since the 1991-92 League Cup final versus Manchester United (0-1 defeat).

- Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has taken part in the Championship play-offs in each of his three seasons in the division as a manager, reaching the play-off final for the second season in a row (lost 2-0 vs Brentford). The only manager to fail to win promotion in consecutive second-tier play-off finals is Brian Little with Leicester City (1991-92 and 1992-93).
- Steve Cooper has won 59% of his 44 games in charge of Nottingham Forest (W26 D10 L8) – the best win ratio of any Forest manager since the club joined the Football League in 1892-93 (min. 15 games).
- Brennan Johnson became only the second Nottingham Forest player to score in both legs of an EFL play-off semi-final tie in a single season after his father David Johnson did so in 2002-03, also versus Sheffield United.
