HUBBALLI: Congress workers protested the price hike on petroleum products by offering flower garlands to gas cylinders, scooters and bikes as part of the party’s price hike-free India campaign.
Vidyanagar and Unakal Block Congress workers protested at Gopankoppa Circle in Keshwapur and shouted slogans against the BJP led government for failing to control prices.
Vidyanagar Block Congress president Rajat Ullagaddimath said people are fed up with the price hike and are suffering a lot due to the hike. People who have gone through price hikes are looking for a change,” he said.
Sunil Mathapathi, a Congress activist, said petrol, diesel and LPG prices are skyrocketing thanks to the negligence of the BJP led governments in the state and country. Corporators Suvarna Kalakuntla, Prakasha Kurahatti, Sandeel Kumar, Arif Bhadrapura, Sunila Mathapathi, Mohammed Sharifa Garagada, Prakasha Kyarakatti, Huwappa Dayadodi, Piraji Khandekar, Deepa Gowri, Bangaresh Hiremath and others took part in the protest.
