Huawei has just launched their latest wireless earbuds, the Freebuds Pro 2 to rival Apple’s popular AirPods Pro and the Galaxy Buds Pro.
The follow-up to Huawei's original FreeBuds Pro earbuds are said to be the tech brands “most advanced in-ear headphones yet,” thanks to improved active noise cancelling and the use of planar magnets.
The FreeBuds Pro 2 come in three different colours: Silver Blue, Sliver Frost and Ceramic White and the earbud design is stemmed, meaning the thicker and squarer shape of the buds should fit better in your ears than its predecessor, the FreeBuds Pro.
Designed for both musicians and workplace professionals, the smart earbuds are the first to feature an integrated Ultra-Hearing Trie Sound Dual Driver, which adopts two ultra-hearing driver units for bass and treble notes.
It also features 11mm quad-magnet dynamic driver units that should boost driving force by 30% compared to its predecessor, delivering 14Hz of bass, according to Huawei.
On top of this, the FreeBuds Pro 2 also offer Intelligent ANC 2.0 which is powered by additional microphones, meaning there are now three on each bud. The latest model can offer cancelling up to 47dB, whereas the original Pro model offers up to 40dB.
Like Apple’s AirPods, the earbuds have an auto-pause feature, meaning your music pauses as soon as you remove an earbud from your ear.
They are also supported by the Huawei AI Life app, which is available on both iOS and Android and allows users to adjust the ANC levels and toggle the EQ presets.
The FreeBuds Pro 2 can last four hours with ANC on and a total of 18 hours including the charging case, with the figure jumping to 30 hours without noise cancelling.
Priced at £169.99, they're quite a bit cheaper than Apple's AirPods Pro too which will set you back £239 - so we know which one's we'd choose.
