HQ of Mr Flashy's 'Gucci Gang' raided by gardai as guns, ammo and cash seized

The HQ of mobster Mr Flashy’s so-called “Gucci Gang” has been taken back into the possession of a local authority as gardai launched a major blitz yesterday.

The property, on Ratoath Drive in Finglas, West Dublin, is now boarded up after it was raided by specialist cops and is now back under the city council’s control.

The gang’s headquarters is where it was regularly used for drug deals and parties.

It was one of nine properties raided by investigators yesterday morning.

Two guns, 300 rounds of suspected ammunition and more than €47,000 in cash, were seized during the course of the searches.

The operation is on the back of a number of feud-related incidents where Flashy’s gang has gone to war with a rival faction.

A source said: “This is a huge blow to Flashy and his people and it sends them a message.

“And this whole operation is just that, going back at these gangs running riot on the streets and terrorising locals.”

The property has been raided on a number of occasions previously and is one of three in the Finglas area in which Flashy moved between.

Gardai confirmed that the seized items along with the activities of the mob are continuing to be investigated from the incident room at Finglas Garda Station.

As part of the probe, the firearms will be examined to see if the have been used in any previous crimes and if there can be any DNA recovered from them.

A spokesman confirmed: “A number of these addresses have been taken possession of and boarded up by Dublin City Council at the conclusion of these searches.

“Investigations are ongoing in relation to these criminal activities.”

It comes after a 22-year-old man was abducted and brutally assaulted on Wednesday.

Gardai believe the victim was targeted – in the latest of a string of incidents – believed to be linked to Mr Flashy.

He was threatened with a hammer and grabbed by five thugs before being bundled into a Ford Galaxy car in Finglas.

The car travelled to the Kilshane Road area where the man was dumped after being beaten with the hammer.

The vehicle was then found burnt out in Dunsink lane. The escalation in the feud in recent weeks came after a rival faction dished out a beating to one of Flashy’s mates and stole an expensive watch.

But Flashy’s gang got revenge when they beat a target in the Dunsink area of Finglas over the plush jewellery with golf clubs and bats.

The victim of that attack suffered a broken eye socket among other serious injuries.

The teenager was treated at Temple Street hospital before he was later discharged.

On Monday night, Flashy was the target of a petrol bomb thrown at a Finglas property he regularly stays in.

But the brazen thugs got the wrong house, instead firing it into the back garden of an innocent family’s home.

Gardai have yet to make any arrests in relation to the recent feud activity.
