Hoxton teenager charged with murder after man stabbed to death in Harrow

A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Robert Weston in Harrow.

Jaden Sheriff, of Forston Street, Hoxton, was arrested on Tuesday February 27 on suspicion of murder.

He was subsequently charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in the early hours of Thursday February 29.

Sheriff appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody until his next hearing on Monday March 4 at the Old Bailey.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after police were called at approximately 2.05pm on Monday February 26 to Hamilton Crescent with reports a man in his 30s had been stabbed.

Officers, medics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended and attempted to save the man’s life but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, Robert Weston’s family were informed and they will continue to receive support from specially trained officers.

As is routine in cases where there has been prior police contact, a mandatory referral will be made to the IOPC by the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards.

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD 3619/26Feb.

You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
