How Tottenham could line up if Antonio Conte brings sensational attacking duo to north London

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has made no secret of his desire to compete in the upper echelons of the Premier League and latter stages of Europe, and Spurs will have to match his ambition in the transfer market if they're to keep hold of their highly sought after manager.

The Lilywhites allowed a host of players to leave the club in the January transfer window on loan, including the likes of Bryan Gil, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso. Whether or not they still have futures with the club remains unclear, however, one player that has been linked with a move to north London is Adama Traore.

The 26-year-old winger is currently on loan at Barcelona from Wolves, however, the Spanish giants will reportedly snub the chance to trigger a £29 million permanent deal in order to sign Leeds star Raphinha. Spurs were heavily linked with Traore prior to his January switch to the Bernabeu, and could revive their interest in the summer according to Spanish outlet SPORT.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for Juventus star Paulo Dybala, the Argentine forward is out of contract in June and is expected to leave Turin on a free transfer. The 26-year-old mainly operates as a No.10 but could also provide cover for Harry Kane.

Whilst the quality of players Spurs can attract will largely depend on whether they finish fourth and secure Champions League football, football.london takes a look at how they could potentially line up next season. Conte has favoured a 3-4-2-1 formation since he took the reins in November, here's how it could look.

Potential Tottenham XI (3-4-2-1): Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies; Traore, Bentancur, Skipp, Reguilon; Dybala, Son, Kane.

The Italian has found a good balance utilising a back three that ultimately allows his defence to have more structure and discipline as well as allowing Spurs’ attacking quality to shine. The system would allow for even more penetration with Traore operating as a right-wing back with Sergio Reguilon on the opposite flank.

Although Dybala has spent the majority of his Juve career playing as a striker or No.10 he can also operate on the right flank, cutting inside on his favoured left foot. The Argentine’s high technical ability, vision and work rate would make him the perfect foil for Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
