2. Check it
The check scarf is a classic that should exist in any man's (or woman's, for that matter) layering arsenal. Burberry's classic check is a particular winner when paired with matching camel or black.
3. Hang loose

If you want to ensure a sartorial win then - provided its not sub zero temperatures and you're not suffering from a Christmas cold - ditch the double knot and leave the loop in favour of letting it all hang loose.
