How to watch Wolves vs Man City - TV channel, live stream, kick-off time and early team news

Liverpool's 2-1 victory over Aston Villa means only goal difference separates them and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. Pep Guardiola will be hoping it won't be quite so tight at the top as his side bid to secure all three points against Wolves on Wednesday night.

In recent years, Wolves have proven to be tough opposition for City - even completing the double over them in the 2019-20 campaign. While Bruno Lage will be happy with his side's performances this season, their form in recent weeks has been sporadic at best.

Their last home outing saw them thumped 3-0 by Brighton, though they followed that up with a stunning comeback against Chelsea last weekend. City, meanwhile, haven't been beaten away from home in the league since the first game of the season.

What is the early Wolves vs Man City team news?

Guardiola will be without John Stones, Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias for the remainder of the season, leaving his options in defence limited. Nathan Ake could also miss out due to a sprained ankle, leaving Aymeric Laporte as Guardiola's only fit central defender.

In their absence, Fernandinho is likely to be drafted into defence with youngsters CJ Egan-Riley and Luke Mbete also on standby.

For Wolves, Lage is without senior defenders Max Kilman and Nelson Semedo. Young Portuguese winger Chiquinho could be in line for a start after his game-changing cameo at Stamford Bridge.
