Leeds United players not participating at the World Cup will now be preparing for the return of club football in just under a month's time. The season has now been on hold for just under three weeks meaning members of the squad are now back at Thorp Arch after being afforded some time off to rest and recharge.
Leeds have announced a couple of friendlies at first team level with a trip to Eibar and home match against Real Sociedad to come. The U21s side, though, will also need to get their match fitness back to an optimum level as they look to continue their push for the Premier League 2 Division 2 title.
