How to watch Udinese XI vs Chelsea XI live on TV and stream as surprise second game confirmed

Chelsea announced a surprise second fixture on Friday night after their second pre-season victory was confirmed.

The Blues took part in their fourth pre-season game on Friday night at the Dacia Stadium as a very strong starting XI picked up a much needed and deserved 3-1 victory in Italy. N'Golo Kante opened the scoring in the first half and Raheem Sterling added a second in the 37th minute before Gerard Deulofeu reduced the gap right before half-time, pouncing on an Edouard Mendy mistake. Mason Mount scored one late on after great work from substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Nine players in total were missing from the squad that was announced on early Friday afternoon. The reason for this was down to this second game being in mind for the west Londoners who will be in action once more in a few hours time against the same opponent. All of Armando Broja, Conor Gallagher, Ethan Ampadu, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Trevoh Chalobah, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were left out of the 17 man squad for the first game between the teams. Michy Batshuayi's and Ross Barkley's absence from the travelling squad could perhaps be put down to the fact that Everton are reportedly advancing in talks for the pair.

That cannot be said about any of the aforementioned Chelsea players, with no imminent moves away forecast for any of them currently. All are expected to take to the field on Saturday morning.

This is because as the Udinese official site announced, there will be a second 'training game' between the two sides. Unexpectedly, it will be available for all supporters to watch but football.london brings you just how you can do this.

How to watch Udinese vs Chelsea 'training game'

The match will be broadcast live on Udinese TV. It will also be on the 5th Stand app for English and Irish viewers.

Kick-off for this second encounter is at 10am UK time on Saturday, July 30 (11am CET) at the Dacia Arena.

Udinese' statement on their website confirmed: "After tonight's official Dacia Arena game, Udinese and Chelsea will face off tomorrow, Saturday July 30, at 11am in training match that will be played behind closed doors at the Dacia Arena.

"It will be possible to watch the start kick-off match live on Udinese TV at 11 am."

Context behind the game

Udinese, who are based in North Eastern Italy, finished 12th last season in Serie A and will provide stiff competition for Tuchel's men. They boast a number of recognisable faces due to their affiliation with Watford. Adam Masina, Roberto Pereyra, Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success will all be familiar to fans of the Premier League.

The match comes just over a week before The Blues' opening Premier League game of the season against Frank Lampard's Everton on August 6th.
