UPDATE: Plans for a joint news conference on Monday afternoon between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have been scrapped. The White House did not offer any immediate explanation.

UNITED STATES President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are to hold a joint press conference tonight.

This comes just days after Trump rocked the global economy by imposing trade tariffs on hundreds of countries around the world, including allies like the UK.

After slapping a 17% tariff on Israeli goods, the country's leader will meet with the US president at the Oval Office to discuss a range of issues.

How to watch President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's press conference tonight

President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold their press conference at around 6pm tonight (around 1pm Eastern Standard Time).

The press event will be available to watch live on NBC News, where a stream of the event will take place.

The last time the pair met was all the way back in February when they answered questions from the press.

What are Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu expected to discuss?

It has been widely reported that the two will discuss a range of current issues, including the new tariffs as well as Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza.

Netanyahu’s office also said that the country's relationship with Iran and the PM's concerns around the International Criminal Court will be on the agenda.

According to the reports, US special envoy Steven Witkoff will join a larger meeting with leaders' aides.

There is also expected to be a meeting with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to discuss America's tariffs on Israel.
