The US version of reality game show The Traitors proved to be a hit both sides of the Atlantic when it aired early last year, coming hot on the heels of the UK iteration. The Alan Cumming fronted show returned to Peacock for a second season on Friday, January 12, and already looks to be just as sensational as the first. Read on to find out everything you need to know about how and when to watch The Traitors US Season 2.
The game is simple – among the group will be Faithfuls and Traitors. The Traitors will murder one Faithful each night, while the Faithfuls have a chance to banish someone they suspect to be a Traitor. Get it right, the betrayers diminish, get it wrong, one of their number waves goodbye. If any Traitors are left when the game ends, they will win the prize pot, but if the Faithfuls have successfully dispatched all Traitors, they split the winnings. There will, of course, be plenty of twists, turns and shocks along the way.
Alan, and his boujie tartan wardrobe, is this time be joined by his dog Lala as they welcome another group of contestants to the Scottish Highlands. While the first season of The Traitors US set itself apart by placing a number of reality TV celebs in its cast, season 2 has gone all-star, with all 21 contestants being famous faces.
The contestants this year include boxer Deontay Wilder, Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Peppermint, Love Island star Ekin-Su, ex-UK Commons speaker John Bercow and basketball player Marcus (son-of-Michael) Jordan. There’s also Larsa Pippen, Phaedra Parks, Shereé Whitfield and Tamra Judge (all Real Housewives…) and from Survivor, Parvati Shallow and Sandra Diaz-Twine.

How to watch The Traitors US Season 2 in the US
Peacock is the home of The Traitors US and international versions from Australia and the UK.
Episodes of The Traitors US Season 2 will begin with a triple bill on Friday, January 12 at 6pm PT/9pm ET and will air the same time every Thursday thereafter.

What happened in The Traitors US?
The Traitors US is back and with the first three episodes dropping at once, we've already had a thrilling start to the second season.
Episode 1 kicked off with the contestants arriving at the castle and no sooner had they all begun to get to know each other, than Alan called the first round table, during which he selected the first two Traitors, Dan and Phaedra. However, there was a twist, with the whole group being informed the Traitors would add a third member of their choosing to their deceitful gang that evening.
With the Traitors in place, it was time for the first challenge, with the group tasked with assembling a symbol in the cold waters of the loch in an allotted time to bag the prize fund. Success in the challenge meant $30,000 was the initial sum added to the pot, while, CT, Deontay and Janelle managed to grab themselves shields and thus protect themselves from that evening's murder.
As midnight arrived, the Traitors met in their first conclave, deciding on the first to be murdered and choosing their third Traitor, Parvati.
As morning of day two arrived, the group discovered Johnny Bananas was the first victim of the Traitors before they headed off to their second challenge. Day two's mission saw the group tasked with correctly answering questions about their own traits, before searching a field of scarecrows for gold and/or shields. While Dan raced to grab a shield, the group managed to still bag a further $16,000 toward the total prize.
The second round table saw the banishments begin, and thanks to an earlier slip of the tongue, Peppermint was the first to say farewell as the group sent a fellow Faithful home.
Later, as the Traitors gathered and Dan and Phaedra revealed their identities to Parvati, another Faithful was selected for murder.
The following morning, the rest of the players found out that it was Marcus who had been chosen this time, with his partner Larsa hit particularly hard by his early departure.
The group had to wait until that night for the latest mission – searching a graveyard for bags of gold while avoiding the beam of two searchlights. Players caught in the light were eliminated from the challenge, along with any winnings they were carrying. After Bergie took charge, figuring out the light's patterns and directing players to avoid them, the team managed to deposit $19,500 to their winnings, while Tamra, Janelle and Peter all secured shields.
The second banishment saw another Faithful voted out, as a long discussion led to Macks saying goodbye.
As the final part of this triple bill premiere concluded, the Traitors were left having to murder in plain sight by getting a Faithful to drink from a 'poison chalice'. As credits rolled, Parvati had a target in sight. But we won't know exactly who received the deadly drink until the next episode, this Thursday.
