How to watch The Traitors US, UK and Australia
If you haven't yet seen The Traitors, you're missing out. The UK, US and Australian versions of the reality show have all become hits and appointment viewing in their respective countries, with many watching the international version too to get their fix. A game of deception and manipulation, it's reality TV at its best, so no wonder everyone talks about each time a new season dropped.
The Traitors UK version in 2022 was what launched the show into the mainstream, but it wasn't the original. The format is based on a Dutch show, and has versions all around the world, including Australia and the successful The Traitors US, which features a cast largely made up of existing reality stars. There are also Canadian and New Zealand versions, and series in other languages.
Here's how to watch all the English-language versions of The Traitors, including how you can tune in for free, and from anywhere.
What is The Traitors TV show about?
The concept is simple. Put a bunch of strangers together in a remote castle, and anonymously choose three to be 'traitors' while the rest are 'faithfuls', with the traitors able to anonymously 'murder' faithfuls. While the traitors know who the other traitors are, the faithfuls remain unaware, and have to try and weed them out with nothing more to go on than body language and their own suspicions. It's tense.
The paranoia goes into overdrive, as the faithfuls never know who they can trust. The same goes for the traitors, as they can try to turn the faithfuls against one of their fellow traitors in order to vote them out and enlarge the remaining traitors' slice of the prize fund.
Throughout the series, contestants also take part in a series of challenges to add money to the prize fund or win 'shields' – immunity from being murdered. These challenges offer the group a chance to bond, but can also reveal when the traitors are trying to sabotage proceedings.
Then each day there's the roundtable, where the group votes on who they think is a traitor and should be 'banished'.
Each night, the traitors gather in secret and decide to murder one contestant, so the large group is whittled down quite quickly, with each wrongfully evicted faithful growing the sense of tension and paranoia among the remaining faithfuls.

How to watch the The Traitors UK, US and Australia in New Zealand for free
The UK, US and Australian versions of The Traitors are all available to stream on ThreeNow in New Zealand. New episodes of season 3 of The Traitors UK drop the day after they air in the UK (i.e. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and the new US season is arriving on the platform from January 17.
Surprisingly, the New Zealand version of the show, The Traitors NZ, is not currently available to watch, despite having two seasons out. It had previously been available on ThreeNow, so it may return.
