Best NFL game on Fox this week
Fox's marquee game, 49ers vs Packers, just edges as the best game of the week (Cardinals vs Seahawks for first place in the NFC West is a very close second). Two of the league's premier teams face off in a game that could prove vital if each wants to contend for their division crowns.
The 49ers have struggled this season, entering week 12 at 5-5, yet they are still just one game out of first place in the NFC West. One of the big reasons for their up and down season has been injuries, and that may continue into week 12. Quarterback Brock Purdy is questionable heading into the weekend, while key players like Trent Williams, Nick Bosa and George Kittle are also dealing with injuries that could impact their status. Barring a significant change, a wild card spot could be tough for the NFC West teams that don't win the division, so the 49ers need to make in roads or at least keep pace, making this game, even if short-staffed, very important.
The Packers are also a little banged up, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, but they've proven to be resilient this year and sit at 7-3, which would currently have them in the playoffs. But if Jordan Love wants to lead the Packers to a division title, they don't have any room for error as the Lions have a two-game lead over them.
