THE National will host a hustings between Alba Party leadership candidates Ash Regan and Kenny MacAskill – available to watch live online across our social media channels.
National reporter Hamish Morrison will host the event at 7pm on Thursday as the two candidates to replace Alex Salmond make their case.
National readers will be able to shape the debate by leaving questions for the pair in the comments section of this article, which we will put to Regan and MacAskill.
Laura Webster, editor of The National, said: “As one of Scotland’s pro-independence parties, many of our readers are tuned into the Alba leadership contest.
“We wanted to give them and political reporter Hamish Morrison a chance to put their questions to Ash Regan and Kenny MacAskill, who we’re looking forward to hosting.”
Voting in the leadership race opens on March 10 and closes 15 days later. The new Alba leader will be announced on March 26.
