HoYovere is hosting another Genshin Impact anniversary concert to celebrate two years since the anime RPG launched, during which time it generated over $3 billion in revenue and became the third most profitable mobile game worldwide. The 2022 Genshin Impact concert, Melodies of an Endless Journey, features the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra performing “authentic renditions and creative adaptations” of the RPG’s many soundtracks, HoYoverse said in a press release, including arrangements from the new Sumeru region.
World-famous composer Shiro Sagisu, known for his work on Evangelion’s score, will act as music director and Eímear Noone (Overwatch, Hearthstone) will conduct.
“The original Genshin Impact soundtracks fit perfectly into the actual in-game scenes and ambiance, and also provide much to imagine beyond the game,” Shiro Sagisu said. “Together with the HOYO-MiX team and global artists, we’ve tried different touches to the music, weaving elements of pop music, rock, and jazz into it. Hopefully, we can create a refreshing and fun experience for the players.”
HoYoverse is also running a special promotional event. If you visit the official Genshin Impact concert site, you can create and share a concert pass for a chance to win character-themed gift boxes. Copying the link also earns you a few dozen Primogems in the game, no code required.
