The 2024 Critérium du Dauphiné gets underway as the build-up to the Tour de France gets in full swing after the conclusion of the season's Grand Tour opener, the Giro d'Italia.

It's the 76th edition of the week-long stage race and the Criterium du Dauphiné 2024 route is as challenging as ever. Summit finishes at the Col de la Loge, Le Collet d'Allevard, Samoëns 1600, and the grand finale at Plateau des Glières are mixed in with a mid-race 34.4km time trial in the 'mini Tour de France'.

Tour contenders Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) and Primož Roglič (Bora-Hansgrohe) will be among the big names heading to France to prepare for the big one in July.
