Dynasties are a funny thing. On one hand, it’s fascinating to see how far a top-tier team can go. At the same time, people crave new experiences. So, it’s no surprise that the Kansas City Chiefs’ quest to threepeat their Super Bowl victories has drawn a mixed reaction.

Three consecutive wins is an amazing feat, but many were hoping to see the Buffalo Bills face the Philadelphia Eagles this year. That didn’t happen, though, and regardless of how you feel about the Chiefs, Super Bowl LIX is shaping up to be a titanic battle.

The teams met in the 2023 Super Bowl, which the Chiefs won by a razor thin three points. Nine months later, they met again in a regular season game, which went to the Eagles by four.

Now there’s the rubber match between the two. And the question is: Will Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and coach Andy Reid have what it takes to beat the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, A. J. Brown and coach Nick Sirianni?

As you prepare for this year’s Super Bowl party, the details of the game can be hard to remember. We’ve got you covered.

Which NFL teams are playing in the 2025 Super Bowl? And what time does the game start?

Pre-game broadcasts for Super Bowl LIX officially begin 7.5 hours before kickoff this year on Fox at 11:00 a.m. ET. If you’re just here for the commercials, the good ones will generally start an hour or two before kickoff.

Sunday, February 9

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles, kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox

Who's singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIX?

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Jon Batiste will sing the National Anthem this year. Before that, he’ll be joined by Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle to perform "America the Beautiful." R&B artist Ledisi will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

All of the performing artists come from Louisiana.

Who's performing at halftime for Super Bowl LIX?

R&B superstar Kendrick Lamar, who recently won two of the top four Grammy awards, will take center stage at this year’s halftime show. He’ll be joined by SZA and likely several other surprise guests. Throughout his career, Lamar has had several chart-topping songs including "Humble,” "Not Like Us,” and "Squabble Up."

Where is this year's Super Bowl being held?

This year’s game is being played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

How can I watch Super Bowl LIX for free—even if I am out of market?

The Super Bowl, of course, isn't blacked out in any market. The best way to watch for free on a big screen is with a good HD antenna. Super Bowl 59 will be broadcast by Fox—meaning you've got a good chance of capturing the game over the air, which costs nothing beyond the equipment prices. Be sure to test the antenna in multiple locations in your home to find the most reliable signal.

How can I stream Super Bowl LIX live online if I don't have a cable subscription?

Fox, technically, doesn’t have its own streaming service, but plenty of others will carry the game. Here are a few options:

Tubi

While it doesn’t have a streaming service, Fox does own this free-to-use service, which can be accessed through web browsers, smartphones and on many smart TVs. The FAST (Free ad-supported streaming television) service will carry both the game and the halftime show in 4K. Programming will begin three hours before kick-off.

Disney+

Disney's bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $17 per month for all three combined (or $30 per month for no ads on Hulu).

Including Live TV in the bundle bumps the price to $77 per month ($90 with no ads).

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial on this service lasts three days. Afterward, it will cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After a free trial, you can expect monthly charges of $73.

Sling TV

Dish Network's Sling lower-tiered "Orange" plan will run you $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive "Blue" plan bumps the cost to $55 per month. The seven-day free trial has disappeared, unfortunately.

DirecTV Stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service will run you $80 per month and up after the free trial option.

DirecTV also just launched MySports from DirecTV, which features over 40 national sports networks and local broadcast stations. That has a five-day free trial, then you’ll pay $450 per month for the first three months.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service carries broadcast networks in most markets. There's a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly charges of $80 and up, depending on the channels you choose.

Does the NFL offer any viewing packages to watch the Super Bowl?

The NFL has three viewing packages, but only one will help you watch the Super Bowl live.

NFL App

The NFL App will let you stream games that are being broadcast locally in your market on Sundays—as well as the Super Bowl.

Which team is the favorite to win Super Bowl LIX?

Haters are gonna hate, but the Chiefs are the favorite in this year’s game, though no one is expecting a blowout. On FanDuel, Kansas City is the -120 favorite, while the Eagles are +102 underdogs. ESPN’s oddsmakerssay the Chiefs are -120 favorires. The Eagles are even money, says ESPN Bet.

Even Prediction Markets and psychics are saying they expect the Chiefs to emerge victorious.

Where is next year’s Super Bowl being played?

Super Bowl LX will take place just outside of San Francisco in Santa Clara at Levi’s Stadium. That game is slated to take place on Feb. 8, 2026.
