It’s been announced that singer Rihanna will perform at next year’s NFL Superbowl, headlining the iconic halftime show. Confirming the news, the world record breaking singer posted a photo of her holding a football to her millions of followers.
Rihanna will perform at the State Farm Stadium for the Halftime Show at Super Bowl LVII, on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Arizona and fans can watch here in the UK.
It's arguably the biggest and most important stage for artists, as thousands of viewers watch the final play-off game from around the world. Past Super Bowl Halftime Show performances include Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and Prince.

Rihanna will have just 12 to 14 minutes in the middle of half time to wow the crowds, as majority of the 20 to 30 minute time slot is taken up by the construction, and deconstruction, of the stage. Since the announcement the never-ending question of who will be bought on as a guest artist has been circulating, with some fans saying her boyfriend Asap Rocky will join her to perform.
Rihanna has previously collaborated with Sir Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Calvin Harris and Nicki Minaj, but it has not been confirmed yet who will join the nine-time Grammy award winner on stage.
As well as tuning in for Rihanna's performance millions of people ar estimated to watch the live play offs, earlier this year 112.3 million people watch the Super Bowl LVI on February 15.
Broadcasted on America's Fox Network there's also a few ways both NFL fans can watch the game and Rihanna fans watch the show here in the UK. The 103rd season recently kicked off, on September 9, with defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Ram hosting the Buffalo Bills and it's streamed by thousands of UK fans.
How to watch
Viewers can tune in for the pkay-off game and Rihanna's performance through multiple UK network providers, but if you haven't got sport packages already there's a few to have a look at.
And now is the time to do so, with Black Friday around the corner many networks are offering sport packages in their 2022 November deals. Signing up in November leaves you enough time until the match and can likely save you some money.
Sky's dedicated NFL channel has returned admist the 2022 season, channel 407, and shows five games a week. The Sky Sports package to go for is its Sky Q, Sky TV, Netflix and Sky Sports package which is currently £44 a month on offer for the next 18 months.
Sky also has a joint sport bundle for BT customers, this is more expensive at £69 a month for 18 months but viewers will be able to watch Rihanna's half-time show and the game.
BT also have a £25 per month monthly sport pass for viewers but it's not confirmed if this will include the play-off game.
