How to watch PSV vs Arsenal: TV channel and live stream for Champions League today

Arsenal face PSV Eindhoven tonight in the knowledge that any chance of silverware this season is likely to rest on the Champions League.

The Gunners have faltered in the Premier League recently, losing at home to West Ham and then drawing with Nottingham Forest has seen them fall 13 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Although Mikel Arteta has refused to give up hope and his Arsenal side have played a game fewer than Liverpool, it’s looking like it will take a minor miracle to stop the Premier League trophy heading back to Anfield.

As a result, there is added importance for the Gunners on tonight’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg meeting with PSV.

In fairness, Arsenal have been impressive in the competition thus far. They finished third in the new revamped league phase, finishing third with the second best defensive record and put down a marker with wins over Paris Saint-Germain and Sporting CP.

They face a PSV side that is not in great form. Aside from their playoff win over Juventus, the reigning Eredivisie champions have won just one of their last six games across all competitions and were knocked out of the KNVB Cup last week.

The two teams know each other well ahead of tonight’s round of 16 first-leg clash having met in European competition in each of the last two seasons.

Home wins were traded in the Europa League group phase during the 2023/24 campaign before Arsenal took four points off PSV en route to topping their Champions League group last season.

The first leg of this season’s meeting will be at the Philips Stadion, before the Emirates Stadium stages the return fixture next week. The winners will advance to the quarter-final to face either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
