How to watch Premier League fixtures for free on Amazon Prime - TV and live stream details

There are always pros and cons to football. A month of non-stop World Cup action, seeing Lionel Messi lift the famous trophy at the end of it all - absolute bliss - but sadly that's now over. In its place, however, comes the long-awaited return of the Premier League.

Prior to the tournament in Qatar, at least some of the 20 top-tier clubs had managed to squeeze 15 matches into a busy schedule. Both Manchester teams faired well overall in this period - Erik ten Hag 's rebuild on the red half of the city sees them sit comfortably in fifth, whilst on the blue side Pep Guardiola 's men trail Arsenal in second in their quest for a third successive title.

Usually some fans are left disappointed as their team's fixture isn't selected for coverage on TV. However, for the Christmas round of matches in 2022, that will not be an issue.

How to watch matches for free on Amazon Prime

Whilst both United and City followers won't get to see their teams on Boxing Day this year - as is most traditional in England - they can take some solace in the fact that there is a method to watch these games for free.

Subscription to the streaming service usually costs £8.99 per month, or £95 in one lump sum for the year. However, if making a new account, there is currently an offer for a 30-day free trial. The only clause is that you must remember to cancel your subscription before the month is up in order to not be charged.
