History
The Broncos have dominated the Panthers, taking wins in six of their seven all-time meetings. One of those matchups came on the largest stage of all in Super Bowl 50, where Denver knocked off a magical Carolina campaign en route to a 24-10 win.
These teams last met in 2020, when Drew Lock threw for four touchdowns to lead the Broncos to a 32-27 victory.
What to watch for
Welcome back, Sam Darnold!
After yet another stale outing from Baker Mayfield in Week 11, the fifth-year passer will be making his first start (and appearance) of the 2022 season. So, can Darnold somehow kickstart this struggling Panthers offense?
Speaking of struggling offenses, quarterback Russell Wilson’s group has held the Broncos back. If Denver had been able to score at least 18 points in every game this year, they’d be 9-1.
Which side will get enough firepower to help their team grab their fourth win?
