And while Nathan may have had the more privileged upbringing as the son Dan Scott (Paul Johanasson) chose to claim, he also bears the weight of his father's expectations and the fulfillment of his own dashed dreams.
Not only is Nathan threatened by Lucas' performance on the court, his brother also appears to have his eye on Nathan's girlfriend, Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton). The only possible way to retaliate? To try it on with Lucas' best friend, Haley James (Bethany Joy Lenz), of course.
But with high school basketball stardom comes more than just locking horns with the half brother that had, up until now, practically ignored his existence. There's also social stardom, with cheer captain Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) setting her sights on Lucas, too.
