How to watch Newcastle United's friendlies against Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao

St James' Park will play host to a double header of football this weekend as Newcastle United end their pre-season campaign with back to back friendlies against Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao.

Newcastle have spent plenty of time abroad this pre-season, playing 1860 Munich and Mainz out in Austria before taking on Burnley and Benfica in Portugal.

Their last friendly ended in a 3-2 defeat to Benfica at the Estádio da Luz, which saw Newcastle concede a late 89th minute Henrique Araujo goal in what was a rather tempered affair.

The weekend double header will serve as the perfect final audition for a number of Eddie Howe's first team squad, who are vying for a starting berth against Nottingham Forest next week.

Here's everything you need to know about Newcastle's back to back friendlies.

Where are the games and what time do they kick-off?

Both games are being played at St James' Park over the course of two days. Newcastle will take on Atalanta on Friday night with kick-off slated for 7.45pm.

And less than 24 hours later, the Magpies will take on Athletic Bilbao at 3pm.
