Michigan State hockey will look to bounce back from a tough loss on Friday night and avoid a weekend sweep against rival Michigan on Saturday.
The Spartans let a late lead slip away in an overtime loss to Michigan, 3-2, on Friday night from Yost Ice Arena. Michigan State led 2-1 late but a goal by the Wolverines in the final five minutes sent the game to overtime, where Michigan was able to get the game-winner.
The series will shift to East Lansing, Mich. on Saturday, for the completion of this home-and-home series. Michigan State is 18-3-2 following Friday’s loss, and Michigan is 14-8-1.
