One of the best rivalries in college hockey will be renewed on Friday night.
Top-ranked Michigan State hockey heads to rival Michigan on Friday night in a battle of top 10 teams from Ann Arbor, Mich. This will be the first of four scheduled meetings between the Spartans and Wolverines this season, with Michigan taking a return trip to Munn Ice Arena on Saturday night.
Michigan State comes into this game with an impressive 18-2-2 overall record on the year. The Spartans at the top of the Big Ten standings with 28 points — which is one point ahead of Minnesota.
Michigan is 13-8-1 overall this year and is currently fifth in the Big Ten. The Wolverines are also ranked in the top 10 nationally and look to be in position for another NCAA Tournament trip this year.
