How to watch Man City vs Sporting Lisbon - TV channel, live stream and Champions League team news

Manchester City will be looking to confirm their place in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday evening as they take Sporting.

The Blues hold a commanding lead ahead of the second leg at the Etihad, having thrashed their Portuguese opponents 5-0 in Lisbon. The return leg should therefore make for a relatively easy night’s work amid the hosts’ hectic schedule.

With City targeting a historic treble, Pep Guardiola looks likely to ring the changes as he looks to keep his players fit for what is set to be an intense run-in. Here’s everything you need to know if you want to watch the conclusion of the last-16 tie against Sporting.

What is the early Man City vs Sporting team news?

City have more than their fair share of injury problems heading into the game. Guardiola is already without Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake, while Kyle Walker remains out through suspension after his sending-off against RB Leipzig.

Joao Cancelo has now been ruled out through illness, while Kevin De Bruyne is unlikely to be risked given the midfielder is just a booking away from a suspension for the quarter-finals. The City boss has claimed he is down to 14 fit players ahead of the game, and could have six academy players in the squad.

Liam Delap, James McAtee, Shea Charles, CJ Egan-Riley, Sam Edozie and Luke Mbete were all part of the 23-man squad who trained for the second leg. With City’s commanding lead in the tie, they could all be in line to make an appearance at the Etihad.
