How to watch Man City vs Newcastle - TV channel, live stream, kick-off time and line ups

Manchester City will look to put the disappointment of Wednesday night's dramatic Champions League exit behind them when they return to Premier League action this weekend. While events at the Bernabeu will be hard to shake, City know that four wins from four would secure their fourth title in five years under coach Pep Guardiola.

At one stage of the season, opponents Newcastle were among the favourites to be relegated from the Premier League. A strong second half of the campaign under Eddie Howe, however, sees the Magpies looking for a top-half finish heading into the final few weeks.

Recent history, as is often now the case, favours City for this tie, however. They have lost just once in their previous 28 matches against Newcastle, winning all of their previous 12 at the Etihad.

What is the early Man City vs Newcastle team news?

Kyle Walker is unlikely to be involved after going off injured during the game against Real Madrid in the week. John Stones is also absent meaning Guardiola is likely to play Cancelo at right-back and either Zinchenko or Nathan Ake at left-back.

Kieran Trippier is making progress in his efforts to return to action, but is unlikely to be involved at the Etihad. Howe is also without centre-back Fabian Schar who left the field with a foot injury in their 0-1 defeat against Liverpool. Captain Jamaal Lascelles came on for him then and should start here also.

Another key player for the Magpies that Howe has been without is Callum Wilson. He edges closer to a return but is also likely to miss out.
