Manchester City will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the new campaign against Manchester United at the weekend, while Erik ten Hag's side will be desperate to record a fifth successive Premier League win.
Pep Guardiola's men were in good form prior to the international break, securing a 3-0 win over Wolves in their last Premier League clash. United were also playing well before the first pause of the campaign, with the Reds defeating Sheriff in the Europa League in their last outing.
United's top-flight clash against Leeds United was postponed due to policing concerns after the Queen's death, so Ten Hag's side have not played in the Premier League for nearly a month. The Reds have recorded wins over Liverpool and Arsenal in the past few matches, while City responded well to their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa to thrash Sevilla 4-0 in the Champions League.

Early team news
Having not played for a good few weeks, it is likely that Ten Hag will stick with the side that defeated Arsenal earlier in the month, so the likes of Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay could all start, while Marcus Rashford - who missed the last two matches through injury - could be fit enough to play.
Meanwhile, City remain without centre-back Aymeric Laporte, with the Frenchman sidelined with a knee issue. Phil Foden is likely to start alongside Erling Haaland in attack. The Norwegian frontman has registered 14 goals and one assist in 10 apperances in all competitions so far this season.
