Manchester City host Atletico Madrid tonight in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. While City will go into the tie as favourites, few relish the underdog tag quite like coach Diego Simeone.
Atletico are aiming to become the first side since Juventus in the 1976-77 UEFA Cup to knock both Manchester clubs out of European competition in the same season. Madrid won 1-0 at Old Trafford, 2-1 on aggregate, to progress past the Red Devils last month.
Europe's premier club competition remains the holy grail for Pep Guardiola and his City side. They will, though, take encouragement from the fact they have lost only once in their previous nine knock-out Champions League games.

Kyle Walker serves the last of his three-match suspension tonight. John Stones, a potential option to deputise at right-back, should be fit. He made the bench against Burnley at Turf Moor despite recently withdrawing from England duty.
Ruben Dias' hamstring injury continues to keep him on the sidelines. Mahrez and Bernardo Silva are likely starters after both being on the bench this past weekend.
