Michigan State football is officially back.
The Spartans will open the 2024 season on Friday night against Florida Atlantic in a home non-conference matchup. Michigan State enters this season with a new coaching staff led by new head coach Jonathan Smith, and will be looking to bounce back from a pair of losing seasons.
Florida Atlantic is also looking to rebound from a losing season last year. The Owls were 4-8 under former Texas head coach Tom Herman last year.
