The Formula One roadshow rolls into Hungary this weekend for what will be the final race before the sport’s annual summer break.
Max Verstappen heads to the Hungaroring in a commanding position in his quest to retain the world championship following a comfortable seventh win of the 2022 season in France last weekend.
The Red Bull superstar now boasts an emphatic 63-point lead in the increasingly one-sided title battle with only 10 races left this term, helped by main rival Charles Leclerc crashing out for Ferrari at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Leclerc will be desperate to narrow that gap ahead of the mid-season hiatus, while Mercedes will hope to keep improving after both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell found themselves on the podium in Le Castellet.
Ferrari will have been happy at the progress in practice on Friday, with Carlos Sainz quickest in FP1 and Leclerc topping the leaderboard in FP2.
